Later to Current
Years
Between
the years of 1979 and 1986, rockin-tom had played extensively in
bands covering many genres including Rock, Country, Calypso,
Funk, Motown, and more. Recently, he had developed an interest
in old school R&B, Rockabilly, and Blues. He considers
himself to be a versatile player, and does not usually feel
comfortable in a setting that does not afford creativity and
freedom of musical expression.
In
1986, rockin-tom relocated to Baltimore, Maryland, USA, where he
has built his digital state of the art recording studio and
founded the Archaic record label. His current efforts include
recording and producing local artists and his own material, and
developing his skills as a multi-instrumentalist.
rockin-tom lives by
this philosophy: when playing guitar stops being fun then it
stops for good. rockin-tom believes that the ability to play
using dynamics, is equally important as rhythm and pitch. He is
not self-absorbed, often paying close attention to his musical
periphery encouraging his band mates to contribute with him to
produce a sound that is the product of the whole, with the goal
of entertaining audiences so that they want to come back for
more.
